Geological Map 1:200,000 of Austria’s Provinces
Geological maps at a scale of 1:200,000 are ideally suited for many high-level planning tasks such as the construction of transport routes, electric power lines or pipelines, the supply of the building industry with raw material or the use of large groundwater reservoirs.
Even for questions at a more local scale they serve as a first source of information.

Made in close cooperation with the provincial geological surveys, they are being used intensively for the management of natural hazards, for land-use planning or the delineation of water protection zones.
