Geologie von Österreich - kurz und bunt
The volume with 360 pages contains articles in the fields of quaternary geology, stratigraphy, facies and palaeontology focusing on decapoda, gastropoda and foraminifera, an obituary (Wolfgang Seiberl), four historical articles, 42 mapping reports from the years 2001–2003 and 2009–2016 and book reviews.
Hydrogeological maps take an intermediary position between geological and hydrological maps. They give information on both subjects and help with the planning of groundwater resource development.
Austria’s sources of thermal and mineral water have been known for centuries thanks to their particular smell, taste, temperature and therapeutic effects. The springs were given popular names such as thermal, acidic, acerbic, saline, sulfurous or even poisonous spring.
